Why can't I find a particular comic art page for sale?

1. It has been destroyed or lost.
   As explained in the history section, it wasn't until the 1970s when a conscious effort was made to keep and maintain these pages.  It’s safe to say that no creator intentionally destroys his work, but fires and other natural disasters have done damage to the lives and collections of creators.  Unfortunately for them and us, once a page is destroyed, it's gone forever.
   
   
2. The artist has never sold the item.
   Some artists choose not to sell some or all of their work. It is always possible that a particular page has never been on the open market.
   
   
3. It is in another private collection or not on our website.  If you're looking for a page that you don't see, a great way tell the world you want it is to list it as Wanted to Buy on Sketch Maven.
